Nuttall Gear is "Your Total Drive Source".
Parallel Shaft
Type TDS Parallel Shaft Speed Reducers are available with torque ratings up to 6,000,000 inch-pounds, and standard gear ratios up to 1500:1. These units incorporate precision gearing (in single, double, triple, quadruple, and quintuple reductions) enclosed in heavy-duty cast iron or fabricated steel housings. Type TDS standard features include through hardened single helical gears, tapered roller bearings, large inspection plates, a positive splash system for lubrication, extra wide bearing spans and center bearing supports; all to provide a rugged, reliable unit with proven dependability in virtually every industrial application. All Type TDS units can be assembled with a variety of horizontal input and output shaft arrangements extending on either side of the speed reducer. Hollow output shafts are also available. Nuttall Gear can supply a completely engineered drive package including motor and speed reducer mounted on a common bedplate.
The “Veri-Dri” Vertical Parallel Shaft Drives are used for applications with higher power requirements, and are available with torque ratings up to 1,200,000 inch-pounds, and standard gear ratios up to 238:1. "Dry-well" construction, bidirectional shaft mounted lubrication oil pumps, oil flow indicators, and large inspection covers are standard features of the entire Veri-Dri product line. As with the smaller units, a wide selection of modifications and options, such as oil pressure switches, temperature switches, oil filters, immersion heaters, pressure gauges, and a choice of motor enclosures may be ordered to give you the right drive for your application.
Right Angle
Type TDS Right Angle Parallel Shaft Speed Reducers are available in ratings from 50,000 to 5,000,000 inch-pounds of torque and gear ratios from 4:1 to 357:1. These units retain the same standard features as the Type TDS Parallel Shaft Speed Reducer with the addition of a spiral bevel gear set and all enclosed in a heavy-duty cast iron or fabricated steel housings. The input shaft is positioned at a right angle to the horizontal output shaft and this output shaft can be supplied extending on either or both sides of the speed reducer. Hollow output shafts are also available.

Type TDS Right Angle Vertical Output Shaft Speed Reducers are available with torque ratings up to 5,000,000 inch-pounds in gear ratios up to 238:1. These units retain the same standard features as the Type TDS Right Angle Parallel Shaft Speed Reducer except a vertical output shaft extending on either or both sides of the speed reducer and force feed oil lubrication to the bearings. An output shaft down arrangement utilizes a "dry-well" (zero leakage) construction. Hollow output shafts are also available. An integral thrust bearing can be incorporated on the output shaft to handle any specific downward thrust loading.
Extruders
Type TDS Parallel Shaft Extruder Drives are available with torque ratings up to 600,000 inch-pounds and standard double reduction gear ratios from 6:1 through 20:1. These drives are available for extruder screw sizes from 2 through 10 inches with models to mount in a horizontal or vertical upright position. Standard construction includes all cast iron housings for quiet operation, integral thrust bearing, a through bored output shaft for screw ejector or cooling, and force feed oil lubrication to the bearings. Custom output flanges and shaft dimensions are available to suit your air space adapter and screw shank requirements. In addition, Nuttall Gear offers a "change gear" extruder drive with similar features.
